School-Based Health Centers

Providing convenient and affordable care while minimizing time away from work for parents and school for students.

School-based health centers (SBHCs) are healthcare clinics located within schools, staffed by MedLink Georgia providers and available every school day to serve students, teachers, and staff. Services offered include treatment for sick visits, injuries, sports physicals, mental health support, immunizations, preventative screenings, well-child checks, and more. SBHCs prioritize convenience with easy drop-in or appointment options, reducing parental work absences and minimizing student school time missed, thereby enhancing academic performance. Care at SBHCs is centered around youth needs and is affordable, accepting most major insurances, Medicaid, and offering a sliding fee scale for eligible families.

Patients WITH or WITHOUT insurance can apply and may be eligible for the sliding fee scale. All you need to do is fill out an application and provide proof of income. The fee discount opportunity is based on Federal Poverty Guidelines and is calculated based on total household size and income. If approved, the minimum fee for a medical office visit starts at $40, and your discounted rate is locked in for one year. Applications must be completed annually.
