Dr. Nichols is a board-certified podiatrist at our Toccoa and Rabun podiatry locations. He has more than 25 years of experience treating systemic effects, deformity, disease, and trauma of the foot and ankle. Dr. Nichols attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his residency at Lincoln West Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Nichols treats systemic conditions that affect the lower extremities and received additional training in the treatment of complicated wounds, including diabetic ulcers. Although he is surgically trained, he believes in exhausting conservative care options before considering surgery and treats patients of all ages.
Dr. Raker is a retired USMC and board-certified podiatrist at our Commerce Family Foot Care, Hartwell Family Foot Care, and MedLink Toccoa offices. He completed his Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine at Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and his residency at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Coatesville and Lebanon, PA. He began his employment at MedLink in 2022 and treats patients 5 years and older for conditions related to the foot and ankle, including plantar fasciitis and ingrown nails. Dr. Raker specializes in diabetic wound care and prevention and utilizes PAD testing to screen patients at high risk.
MedLink Georgia, Inc. is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) corporation, established as the Oconee- Oglethorpe Primary Health Care Center in 1979 under the Rural Health Initiative Program. The corporation is governed by a Board of Directors with representation from each county where the centers are located.
MedLink Georgia serves patients from 26 Northeast Georgia counties and contiguous North and South Carolina communities.
