Maria Isabel Alban, MD
Service: Primary Care
Dr. Alban is a Family Medicine physician at our MedLink Gainesville office. Dr. Alban specializes in comprehensive primary health care for people of all ages and has been employed by MedLink since 2006. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch Hospital. In addition to diagnosing and treating illnesses, Dr. Alban focuses on preventative care with routine checkups, tests, and personalized coaching on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Ernie Aldaco, NP-C
Service: Primary Care
Ernie is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner at our Gainesville office. He attended South University. He is bilingual and has been employed with MedLink since 2021. He has over 19 years of orthopedic experience and sees patients of all ages for their primary healthcare needs.
Ty’Asia Dawson, LAPC

Ty’Asia Dawson is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor at MedLink Gainesville. She attended Niagara University and began working with MedLink in 2025. Ty’Asia sees patients ages 16 and up.
Maria Herrera, FNP-C

Maria Herrera, DMSc, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at our office who sees patients ages 5 to 100. She attended Lincoln Memorial University and began working with MedLink in 2025. Maria takes a compassionate and comprehensive approach to care, focusing on each patient's individual needs to help them achieve better health and well-being. She is also bilingual, allowing her to connect and communicate effectively with a diverse range of patients.
Haroon Mian, MD

Dr. Mian is a family medicine physician at our Gainesville office. He attended the University of Louisville and completed his residency through the University of Louisville Residency Program. He has been employed with MedLink since 2022 and sees patients of all ages for their primary healthcare needs.

Ann Whitaker, RD, LD, CDCES
Service: Diabetes, Nutrition
Ann Whitaker is a licensed and registered Dietitian, holding the additional certification of a Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She earned her degree from Georgia State University and has been a valued member of the MedLink team since 2023. Ann provides comprehensive care to patients across all age groups, with a particular focus on diabetes and prediabetes, including gestational diabetes. Her expertise extends to various health areas, including but not limited to overweight management, preparation and follow-up for bariatric surgery, heart health, hypertension, poor weight gain, chronic kidney disease, gastrointestinal issues, prevention, oncology, and more.
