Our Story

Imagine walking into an organization dedicated to serving its community, especially those in need. You might wonder, “How do they take care of these people?”

This is where the Helping Hands Foundation of MedLink Georgia comes in.

Born from a simple yet profound idea, the foundation started with a vision of MedLink members helping each other through difficult times. From financial assistance to PTO donations, we’ve built a network of support that ensures no one feels alone during moments of hardship.

About Medlink
How It All Began

When Helping Hands was first organized, it started as a pool of funds created by generous donations from MedLink employees and supporters. The goal? To assist team members during unexpected challenges.

But we didn’t stop there. Recognizing the need for time as much as money, we introduced a PTO donation system. Employees could share their unused time off with colleagues facing extended absences, ensuring they could still receive a paycheck.

Over time, our vision expanded, and so did our initiatives.

What We Do

1. Financial Assistance

We provide grants to team members in need, supported by donations and reviewed by a dedicated committee of Helping Hands and MedLink members.

2. PTO Donations

Employees can donate their unused paid time off to colleagues, providing crucial financial stability during unforeseen challenges.

3. Community Service Initiatives

Every six months, we launch a new initiative to give back to the broader community. Our current focus is supporting domestic violence shelters through donations, volunteering, and center-level assistance.

Why It Matters

MedLink receives funding through Federal Grant Programs, but the Helping Hands Foundation ensures we take care of our own. By bridging gaps in funding for team members facing personal hardships, we build a stronger, more supportive MedLink family.
